Antique Swedish Pine Double-Door Cabinet

A beautifully understated antique Swedish pine double-door cabinet, full of the warmth, texture and simplicity we love in Scandinavian country furniture.

Constructed in pine and designed around a pair of substantial cabinet doors, the piece has the kind of honest, utilitarian construction that makes old Swedish furniture so easy to mix into a modern home.

The natural pine gives it presence without heaviness, while the straightforward proportions keep the overall look wonderfully unfussy.

Use it as a linen cabinet, pantry, bar cabinet, entry storage, bedroom armoire or even as an oversized piece of storage in a living room. Against plaster, limewash, warm white walls or more contemporary architecture, the aged pine becomes the statement.

I don’t want to borrow measurements from a comparable Swedish cabinet and accidentally give you the wrong scale for this exact piece.

CONDITION

Good antique condition with expected wear consistent with age and previous use.

Natural variation, surface marks, scratches, small imperfections, age-related movement and patina should be considered part of the character of an antique pine cabinet.

Please review photographs closely for the exact condition of this piece.

DĒSSO NOTE

This is exactly why we love Swedish furniture.

Nothing overly precious, nothing trying too hard — just beautiful old pine, great proportions and a piece that can hide an irresponsible amount of stuff.

We’d put it against a simple limewashed wall, fill it with linens, dishes or barware, and leave everything around it very quiet.
