A little bit Riviera, a little bit campaign, and very easy to love.
This petite vintage French faux bamboo mirror has all the details that make these pieces so charming: a warm wood frame turned to imitate bamboo, crisp beveled glass, and a wonderfully graphic silhouette with projecting bamboo-style ends that give it more personality than the standard rectangle.
The frame is crafted in wood but designed to mimic bamboo canes and nodes, a decorative style that became especially popular in France in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The look brought a touch of travel, colonial influence and relaxed sophistication into traditional interiors — and honestly, it still works.
The beveled mirror plate catches the light beautifully and gives the piece a more refined finish, while the original back attachment adds to its authenticity.
At just 13 inches square overall, it is especially easy to place: layered into a gallery wall, above a small console, in a powder room, on a vanity, or tucked into a quiet corner that needs one charming old thing.
French, easy, chic. Exactly as it should be.

DĒSSO NOTE
This is exactly the kind of small decorative French piece I love because it does not need to be massive or overly ornate to make a room feel better.
The faux bamboo gives it that relaxed collected look, the bevel makes it feel elevated, and the shape is just slightly unusual in the best way.
At 13 inches square, it is perfect for a powder room, gallery wall, vanity, shelf vignette or small entry.
One of those pieces that quietly makes everything around it look more interesting.
