Italian Majolica Octopus Serving Dish

An octopus on the table is already a conversation starter.

This Italian majolica dish features a sculptural octopus motif with dimensional detailing and the playful, slightly dramatic character that makes Mediterranean ceramics so collectible.

It works beautifully as a serving piece for olives, seafood, lemon wedges or small bites, but it is just as strong styled empty on a shelf, console or dining table.

The marine subject, glossy ceramic finish and sculptural form give it that perfect coastal-Mediterranean balance: decorative, useful and a little theatrical.

Exactly the kind of piece that makes a table feel collected instead of coordinated.

DĒSSO NOTE

There are normal serving dishes.

And then there is an octopus.

This is the second category.

Use it for olives, lemons, seafood, jewelry, cocktail garnishes—or leave it empty and let the tentacles do the work.

A little weird.

A little fabulous.

Exactly how I like my tableware.
