18th C. Vintage Louis XVI Style Marble-Top Nightstand / Side Table

A little French formality, but still very easy to live with.

This vintage Louis XVI–style nightstand pairs a refined wood case with an inset marble top and the clean, architectural proportions associated with late-18th-century French design.

The silhouette is compact and elegant, making it ideal as a bedside table, side table or occasional table. The marble surface adds a beautiful contrast to the warm wood and gives the piece that extra bit of polish without making it feel overly precious.

Louis XVI furniture is all about balance: straight lines, symmetry, subtle classical detailing and just enough ornament.

The result here is a piece that feels decorative but still genuinely useful.

Perfect beside a bed, next to a reading chair, or used as a small drinks table in a more formal sitting room.

DĒSSO NOTE

This is the kind of piece that instantly makes a bedroom feel more considered.

The marble gives it elegance, the scale keeps it practical, and the Louis XVI proportions make it feel classic without being heavy.

I’d use it next to a bed with a small lamp and almost nothing else.

It already has enough presence.
