Tiny French porcelain treasures with a tropical twist.
This pair of Limoges porcelain lidded trinket boxes was made in France and features beautifully detailed naturalist bird illustrations framed by delicate gilded rims.
Each circular white porcelain box depicts a different bird native to the island of Hispaniola: one features the Hispaniolan Parakeet, labeled PERICO, while the second depicts the White-winged Warbler, labeled CIGUITA ALIBLANCA. The illustrations are transfer-printed in a wonderfully traditional natural-history style.
The combination is so charming: classic Limoges porcelain paired with Caribbean fauna. Perfect for holding rings, earrings, tiny keepsakes—or simply displayed together on a vanity, nightstand, dresser, or collected shelf.
Both pieces retain their LIMOGES FRANCE factory marks on the underside.
Sold as a pair of two.
