When even squeezing a lemon deserves a pretty object.

This sculptural Portuguese ceramic citrus juicer is shaped like an oversized lemon, complete with raised peel texture, molded leaves and an integrated ribbed reamer at the center.

Finished entirely in glossy creamy white, the monochromatic glaze lets all of the texture do the talking — from the stippled lemon surface to the beautifully molded leaf veins.

At approximately 9 inches long, it has enough presence to stay out on the kitchen counter instead of disappearing into a drawer.

Use it for fresh lemons, limes and small oranges, then leave it sitting beside your olive oil and salt because frankly it is much prettier than most kitchen tools.

The underside is molded “Made in Portugal.” An additional printed production mark is visible, but I cannot identify the manufacturer confidently enough from the source photograph to attribute a specific maker.

DĒSSO NOTE

I am firmly in favor of kitchen tools that do not need to be hidden.

This one looks like a little ceramic sculpture until you cut a lemon in half — which is exactly my preferred level of unnecessary beauty for an everyday object.

Leave it on a dark wood counter with lemons and a linen towel and call it decor.
