Vintage Italian Hand-Painted Ceramic Fish-Shaped Serving Plate — Made in Italy

A fish plate, but make it Italian.

This vintage hand-painted ceramic serving plate was made in Italy and shaped into a playful fish form, combining sculptural detailing with the loose, expressive character of traditional Italian pottery.

The hand-painted decoration gives it plenty of personality, while the fish silhouette makes it just as decorative empty as it is filled with food.

Use it for olives, lemons, seafood, small appetizers or fruit—or hang it on the wall as part of a collected ceramic display.

A fun little piece of Italian tableware that feels charming, useful and just eccentric enough.

DIMENSIONS

Please refer to measurement photographs for exact dimensions and scale.

Comparable Italian fish-shaped plates are often around 10"–11" in length, but I’d keep the Shopify listing tied to your actual measurements rather than infer the size.

CONDITION

Good vintage condition overall.

The glaze and hand-painted detailing present well, with light age-appropriate wear consistent with previous use.

Minor glaze irregularities and surface variation are typical of handmade Italian ceramics and part of their character.

Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition.

DĒSSO NOTE

I have never met a fish-shaped plate I did not want to put olives in.

This one is very Italian about it.

Use it for apéro, seafood, lemons, jewelry—or hang it on the wall and let it be completely decorative.

Useful enough to justify.

Weird enough to love.
