Vintage Italian Majolica Elephant Plate | Sage Green Jungle Relief, 12”

A whole elephant parade, and somehow still more discreet than your average dinner guest.

This vintage Italian ceramic plate features a raised border of white elephants, palm leaves, and tropical foliage. Sage green glaze and gold-colored details bring a little glamour, while the simple white center gives the decoration room to shine.

Estimated to date from the 1960s–1970s, it combines the expressive modeling of Italian majolica with a wonderfully playful jungle motif.

Display it on a plate stand atop a wooden sideboard, or incorporate it into a wall arrangement with an appropriately fitted hanger. We’d pair it with woven textures, warm wood, and an unapologetically large plant.
