Antique Louis XV Style Gilt Metal Rococo Two-Light Wall Sconces — Pair

Because a little French drama never hurt anyone, chérie.

A fabulous pair of vintage Louis XV-style gilt metal wall sconces, bringing the elegance and playful extravagance of French Rococo design into the modern home.

Each sconce features an ornate, asymmetrical backplate adorned with scrolling acanthus leaves, decorative curves, and intricate rocaille motifs. Two gracefully curved arms extend outward, supporting decorative candle-style light fittings.

Their gilded finish adds warmth and a beautiful antique-inspired character, while the sculptural silhouettes make these fixtures just as interesting switched off as they are illuminated.

Perfect flanking an antique mirror, framing a bed, illuminating an entryway, or adding a little unexpected grandeur to a contemporary bathroom.

Pair them with warm limewash walls, rich walnut furniture, or vintage French artwork for a beautifully layered European interior.

A little Versailles, a little modern living. Exactly how we like it.

DĒSSO NOTE

I will never understand why we stopped putting beautiful, slightly extravagant things on our walls.

These sconces are everything I love about French-inspired vintage design: sculptural, romantic, a little dramatic, and completely unapologetic.

I would happily hang them on either side of a vintage mirror, against a textured plaster wall, or even in a very contemporary bedroom for that unexpected contrast.

Because sometimes, more really is more. Mais avec goût, évidemment.
