Vintage Lynn Chase “Parrots of Paradise” Porcelain Charger — 12"

A lush piece of tabletop escapism.

This vintage Lynn Chase “Parrots of Paradise” porcelain charger features two brilliantly colored Australian parrots nestled among tropical foliage and berries, rendered in the vivid, nature-inspired style that made Lynn Chase Designs so recognizable.

The generous 12-inch scale gives it presence beyond a standard dinner plate — beautiful layered beneath tableware, styled upright on a shelf or plate stand, or displayed as decorative wall art.

Originally part of Lynn Chase’s now-discontinued Parrots of Paradise collection, produced during the late 20th century, this is one of those pieces that works equally well as functional tableware and pure decoration. The pattern was produced from approximately 1991–1999

Tropical without being kitschy, colorful without being loud — very DĒSSO.

DĒSSO NOTE

This is exactly the kind of plate we love displaying rather than hiding in a cabinet.

The tropical birds, berries and saturated greenery feel almost like a miniature botanical painting — beautiful propped on a shelf among books and ceramics, hung as wall art, or mixed into a deliberately mismatched dinner setting.

For the maximalist: add more birds.

For the minimalist: let this be the bird.
