A salad bowl, but make it cabbage.
This vintage Olfaire Portugal serving bowl is molded entirely from overlapping cabbage leaves, with deeply textured veining and a glossy layered green glaze that settles beautifully into every little fold.
The scalloped rim follows the organic shape of the leaves, giving the bowl a sculptural silhouette that feels just as good empty on a shelf as it does filled with salad, fruit, vegetables, or whatever is being served.
At approximately 10 inches across, it is a genuinely useful size for the table — substantial enough for a salad or shared side dish without becoming an enormous centerpiece.
The underside is marked Olfaire / Made in Portugal.
One of those very Portuguese pieces where something completely ordinary from the garden somehow becomes fabulous enough to put on the table.

CONDITION
Very good vintage condition overall.
The bowl appears to have seen little or no use, but there is one very small chip, shown in the original photographs.
The glossy glaze remains vibrant with minor age-appropriate production variation.
No major cracks or structural damage are visible.
Because this is a vintage ceramic piece, I recommend hand washing even though the original factory mark indicates dishwasher and microwave compatibility.
DĒSSO NOTE
Yes, it is a bowl shaped like a cabbage.
And somehow that makes the salad better.
I especially love these mixed into a table with old French plates, linen napkins, wood, rattan, and completely mismatched glassware.
Useful enough for dinner. Weird enough to keep out afterward.
