Vintage Pearlescent Ceramic Shell Vase / Planter — Blush Pink Interior

This vintage ceramic shell vase / planter has the prettiest sculptural fan shape, finished in a soft iridescent pearl glaze with subtle blue, cream and blush undertones — then unexpectedly lined in glossy shell pink.

The oversized ridges and pedestal base give it enough presence to stand completely on its own, but it would also be beautiful filled with flowers, greenery, brushes or collected objects.

Very coastal, a little kitsch, and exactly the kind of vintage piece that somehow makes a room more fun.

Likely dating to the 1970s–1980s, when pearlized and iridescent ceramic finishes were especially popular in decorative coastal pottery.
