Vintage Portuguese White Ceramic Fish Serving Bowl — Sculptural Textured Dish

A fish dish, but make it chic.

This vintage Portuguese ceramic serving bowl is molded entirely in the shape of a fish, finished in a glossy monochromatic white glaze that lets all of the sculptural detail do the work.

Raised scales cover the body, while molded fins, tail, eye, gills and mouth give the piece dimension without making it feel overly coastal or themed. Because everything is rendered in white, it reads almost like a little piece of ceramic sculpture.

The center is gently recessed, making it practical as a serving dish for olives, nuts, lemons, seafood, crackers, dips or apéro snacks.

And when it isn’t being used? Prop it upright on a shelf or plate stand. The textured surface is good enough to be decoration all by itself.

The underside retains its original Made in Portugal label.
