A striking vintage terracotta amphora enveloped from shoulder to base in an intricately handwoven rattan lattice. The precise geometry of the natural cane contrasts beautifully with the vessel’s warm, earthy clay, creating a piece that feels simultaneously rustic, sculptural and quietly sophisticated.

Its tall classical silhouette and tactile combination of materials recall the artisan-made vessels found throughout Mediterranean interiors during the 1970s and 1980s. Display it alone as a sculptural floor vessel or style it with dried branches and grasses. Because the interior has not been tested for water resistance, we recommend using a liner if displaying fresh flowers.

Attributed to Spain based on its construction, materials and Mediterranean decorative character. No maker’s mark has been identified.

The natural variations in the terracotta and irregularities within the woven exterior are integral to its handcrafted appearance.
