Vintage TAGUS Copper Kettle with Wooden Handle — Made in Portugal

The kind of kettle that makes the whole kitchen look more expensive.

This vintage TAGUS copper kettle was made in Portugal and features a beautifully aged copper body paired with a warm wooden handle.

The shape is classic and practical, but the real appeal is the surface: natural patina, tonal variation and the kind of warmth that only old copper gives you.

Use it as a decorative stovetop piece, style it on open shelving, add it to a copper cookware collection, or use it simply as a sculptural object in a warm Mediterranean or European kitchen.

TAGUS produced a range of copper kitchenware in Portugal, and these kettles remain especially collectible for their simple forms, wood accents and old-world character. Comparable examples are often tin-lined and marked on the base.

DĒSSO NOTE

Old copper is one of those things you should absolutely not overthink.

Do not polish every trace of age away.

The entire point is the warmth, the patina, the slightly imperfect surface that makes it look like it has lived in an actual kitchen instead of arriving yesterday in a cardboard box.

Style it on the stove, next to a stack of cookbooks, or on an open shelf with ceramics.

Very Portuguese grandmother kitchen. In the best possible way.
